THE CHERRY ORCHARD
The Cherry Orchard is the story of a Russian aristocrat who returns to her family’s home before it must be sold to pay off debts. As the family departs for the final time, the home’s well known, large cherry orchard is cut down by the new owner. Themes revolve around the declining status of the Russian aristocracy, the rising status of the bourgeiosie and the search for meaning in materialism.
